Shelly has been working for Sterling Portraits since November 1996 when she was hired by Sterling after a few short conversations with him. She impressed Sterling with her enthusiasm and energy and he knew that he wanted her to join the Sterling Portraits family.

Shelly grew up in the Washington, DC area and has always held a love for photography. She has been interested in the craft since her early teens and followed up that interest by taking classes in high school and community college.

When asked what she likes most about her job, Shelly responded with “seeing the beautiful work that passes my way through production, and of course the people I have the privilege of working with”.
